Three- and four-roll bending machines from AMB Picot can produce a wide variety of sheet metal formats into endless curved, round or conical shapes. Picot’s new AI-based software called EasyRoll© makes bending more intuitive and error-free – providing the operator with pre-bending capabilities, automatic spring-back accounting and adjustment, and efficient bend protocols for complex shapes. Picot serves many industry sectors including architecture, industrial manufacturing, transportation, public works, aerospace, energy and construction. Picot machines are just as well suited for single-item prototyping as they are for high-volume production.
RCE type symmetrical 3-roll hydraulic bending and pre-bending machines feature CNC controls and equipped to handle a variety of sheet metal rolling projects. These also are double pitch plate bending machines with wide openings between rollers, delivering perfect pre-bent edges and easy conical rolling. Picot RSE plate role bending machines can be designed and manufactured in six configurations offering a bending length from 1100 mm to 2100 mm and a top roll diameter from 115 to 130 mm.
RCS type symmetrical 3-roll hydraulic bending and prebending machines feature CNC controls and are equipped to handle a wide range of sheet metal thicknesses. Picot RCS machines are double pitch plate bending machines with wide openings between rollers, delivering perfect pre-bent edges and easy conical rolling. Picot RCS plate roll bending machines can be designed and manufactured in six different sizes accommodating bending lengths from 1100 mm to 4100 mm, with top roll diameters ranging from 135 mm to 460 mm – in more than 50 configurations.
RAE type electromechanical asymmetrical 3-roll plate bending machines feature a cast iron rigid frame. Pre-bending roll movements are created with a hand wheel and position indicator. Its asymmetrical construction makes it a simple and affordable rolling machine for thin metal sheets. It is well suited for small metal sheet workshops or locksmith shops. The top and pinch rolls are driven by an electro-mechanical geared motor with a brake. There are six configurations of Picot RAE machines with useful roll lengths ranging from 1020 to 2020 mm, handling sheet thicknesses ranging from 1.5 to 2.5 mm.
Picot’s R4C type symmetrical 4-roll bending machines provide the convenience of a 4-roll bender with the flexibility of a 3-roll rolling machine. They are especially suited for rolling thick metal sheets and cones, particularly for production projects with repeatable parts. It can also be used as a 3-roll machine (pinching roll in low position) for the production of cones or other specialty parts. There are nearly 40 configurations for Picot R4C plate roll bending machines accommodating six bending lengths and top roll diameters from 205 mm to 460 mm.
EasyRoll© is Picot’s AI-based CNC software program bringing more than a 150-years of rolling experience to bear in an intuitive and efficient control system. Operators of any experience or skill level only have to select the material, thickness and prescribed diameter, and EasyRoll will do the rest. EasyRoll makes bending more intuitive and efficient. It has been designed based on a materials database and experience built on more than a century of Picot bending machine experience. And EasyRoll never stops learning – gaining deeper experience and control based on the inputs and result of the operators’ bending programs. EasyRoll allows the bending machine to take into account both spring-back and bending resistance to deliver the correct diameter on the first try.
